When to use SkypeOut
If this were a perfect world, there’d be no yodelling and everyone
would be using Skype to talk for free.
Unfortunately the world is far from perfect, and not everyone has Skype yet.
That’s why we offer SkypeOut, a low cost way to make calls from Skype
to friends who still use those traditional landlines or mobile phones.
But wait, don't shy away from SkypeOut if
you don't have someone to call internationally: last time we've checked, the
rates for long-distance national calls in Australia using traditional landlines
during day hours are typically up to 8 times higher then the SkypeOut
rates!!
SkypeOut Rates
The most important fact about our rates is that you really don’t have
to pay them. Help your friends, family and business contacts to use Skype
and stop paying for talking to them. However, if you insist on calling regular
phone numbers, feel free to do so.
It does not matter where you’re calling from, only where you’re
calling to. Sitting in Melbourne and calling your friend next door costs the
same as sitting in London and calling your friend in Melbourne.
